ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (IKARIA)

The NANKO Energy S.A. team is growing and looking for an Electrical Engineer.

 NANKO Energy S.A. is a leading Greek company with over 20 years of activity in the field of green energy, which continues to grow dynamically. Its portfolio consists mainly of small hydropower plants, while offering its expertise and providing consulting services in the design, licensing and operation of RES.

The initial inclusion in the group is to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of a hydroelectric power plant in Ikaria. A prerequisite for taking over the role is the relocation of the newly recruited on the island of Ikaria for two years. It is planned to continue working at the company’s headquarters, immediately after the project is completed.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing detailed electrical studies of RES projects
  • Collaborating with a multi-dimensional team for the design of electrical systems for RES projects
  • Supervising the installation of electrical systems and equipment and carrying out the required checks.
  • Emphasis on safety protocols and safety measures in all electrical activities.
  • Solving problems and dealing with electrical faults.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety rules and environmental compliance for all projects.
  • Securing the required permits and authorizations for the projects.
  • Collecting and analyzing data for energy efficiency.
  • Implementing energy practices to optimize energy production and reduce losses.
  • Promoting environmentally friendly practices and compliance with green energy standards.

Desired qualifications:

  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from a University or Technical University.
  • TEE-TCG professional license.
  • It is mandatory to have a 20kV medium voltage control certification.
  • Desired experience in designing, studying (electrical studies, Environmental Impact Assessment, etc.) of RES projects (mainly Small Hydroelectric Projects).
  • Desired experience in the construction, installation and commissioning of Small Hydroelectric Projects.
  • Desired experience in operating of industrial or craft installations.
  • Very good knowledge of English.
  • Possibility of working outside Athens (frequent trips).
  • Driver's license.
  • Fulfilled military obligations.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Sensitivity to safety and environmental protection.
